Heart Written
July 2017, IKARIA (Greece)
One hot summer night, my sister and I got ourselves busy with paints, sand, snow white pebbles, pencils, crayons and charcoal. Not only the canvas, but also our hands, feet and clothes got fully colored. We had so much fun, dancing and laughing, swirling around the canvas not wanting or intending to give expression to an idea or concept, but just to enjoy the given moment, the movement of our bodies with the materials, to be with the creation itself. We started the creation ‘out of nothing’ (which is never nothing, but always full of energy and movement).
Out of this Nothingness, Heart Written created itself. The next day I completed the painting: I put some last layers of colored wax and paint, and wrote Heart Written Messages all over the canvas. If you look at this painting, you can hear its heartbeat!
This piece of art has many layers, each layer carries the energy of joy, play and dance. Looking at it will boost your intuïtion and creative energy!
